Original Antique Chinese Scholars or scribes Jade inlaid Ruler

Here is a neat piece I just picked up. Antique scribes ruler of wood with inlaid jade pieces. I am guessing the jade was re-used from other items as they seem to vary in quality of carving. Great look and shows use. Measures 7 3/4 inches long. Old I am guessing mid 19th century. Jade pieces could be much older (carving not he age of the stone) . Neat piece. Thanks for looking!
